As the pups near 4 weeks old (this Sunday), I thought it was time to give them a taste of some real food. Gracie is nursing a little less and we'll gradually get them into dry food.
While I thought I was treating them, I was really gagging myself out because this mixture I concocted was utterly disgusting! I read online to put dry puppy food, powered milk replacement formula and warm water in a blender and basically get it to mush. THE SMELL WAS OVER POWERING AND SICKENING!!! While I hated it, the pups couldn't get enough! They were stepping all in it, falling in it, licking it out of each other's ears- they absolutely loved every minute. The funniest thing was their stance- they hovered over the plates and were spread eagle the entire time. I just think they were so elated with something over than liquid food, they didn't know what to do!
