This is obviously one of our little Girls! She is so precious- the girls are finally starting to bulk up a little bit and gaining weight means holding their own with their brothers! The little runt, I'm going to name her Runtess for the time being, is also learning the tricks of the trade. If all of the pups are nursing and there doesn't seem to be a spot for her, she'll fly over the top and dive down to get on the bottom-side to eat. Either that, or she'll come in from the tail and be content on the end. No matter how she gets in, she finds a way to get full!
I occasionally have to go and stir them to continue to eat because they get so happy and full laying on their sides and nursing that they fall asleep. They work so hard to get latched on and start eating, then they lose all energy and slip into Puppy La-La land!
