Post-Meal Nap

This is the consistent image after every meal... they get full and happy and have to nap! They are so angelic at this time! At this point, Chris and I are living for every naptime! :)

The pups love playing outside!

Look who is coming to play! The pups have discovered the bushes in the back- hostas mostly, and that they offer a fluffy place to roll around and some welcomed shade. This little guy was playing hide and go seek in the backyard while the others were eating!

Tuckered Out!

I know I always post pics of Maisey- and no, it's not because she's the only one with a true name, it's that she is the spunkiest (Get Ready Upton's!!) and the sweetest little thing! She wanted to get out and play so badly, so I got her out of the pen area and she fell right asleep! She is a true Weim- if she can just be touching a human, her little world is perfect! Chris and I called her a Mini-Gracie tonight- she has very similar mannerisms that Gracie had as a puppy... she is going to be a great dog!

Growing Babies!

It has just hit me today that the puppies will be in their new homes in about 2 1/2 weeks. Bittersweet, for sure! It is a mad house right now, but once they are all gone (except one!) it will be too quiet! They are growing so quickly- feeding at least 3 times a day and acting like they've never eaten before!

First Bath

Well, Chris tackled the first bath by himself and, apparently, almost lost his mind. But, when I came home, I had 7 freshly bathed pups playing happily! This is a photo of two who had played so hard during bath time, they were pooped!

Chris bought the pups play toys today and they love them! This is, once again, Little Maisey with her toy! She is too cute!

The pups got to play outside a lot today, which we love because it really wears them out! This is little Maisey (future pup of Molly & Emily!) sitting on a boat life preserver. This was originally a seat that I pulled to sit on, but she beat me to it! She looks to in charge to be the little runt!

Everyone's Hungry!

Gracie has a tendency to "bust out" the puppies during the day and night- they are nicely contained to the dining room, but she likes to let them roam freely (much to mine and Chris' dismay)! Once they are out, they are chasing her like crazy! This night, it seems she was hungry and so were they!

Meet Maisey!

This is Maisey (our little runt) and Molly, her new mom! She already has a collar and Molly and big sister Emily cannot wait to take her home! What a lucky Pup!

Their Mama must have entered the room because they were checking something out!!

A Box Full of Love!

Look at those precious blue eyes!!

Welcome Home!

My mom spent the weekend with the pups while Chris and I were out of town and to my surprise, they had grown 3x bigger than when I left them! I came home to running, jumping, biting, pulling, growling, howling- anything you can imagine, they were doing!

Finally- some real food!

As the pups near 4 weeks old (this Sunday), I thought it was time to give them a taste of some real food. Gracie is nursing a little less and we'll gradually get them into dry food.

While I thought I was treating them, I was really gagging myself out because this mixture I concocted was utterly disgusting! I read online to put dry puppy food, powered milk replacement formula and warm water in a blender and basically get it to mush. THE SMELL WAS OVER POWERING AND SICKENING!!! While I hated it, the pups couldn't get enough! They were stepping all in it, falling in it, licking it out of each other's ears- they absolutely loved every minute. The funniest thing was their stance- they hovered over the plates and were spread eagle the entire time. I just think they were so elated with something over than liquid food, they didn't know what to do!

The Gill-Wall's came to Visit!

Question: How many Gill-Wall children can you fit in the puppy box? Lots!!! My good friend Cynthia brought her children to see the pups and they couldn't get enough! The puppies immediately made friends with the kids (and Cynthia who couldn't help herself but get in the box!) and played until they got too tired and fell asleep.

In coming home for a quick lunch, this is what I found! 7 awake pups (probably only awake by the howls of their Mama that I was home!) active and ready to play! With the baby blue eyes staring at me, I couldn't help but take one on their first adventure outside- even if only for a minute. I just put my hands out and decided which ever one came first would be the lucky one. Guess who came- Little Runtess! She is probably the bravest one!

Lila Gayle & Lauren came to visit! Lila names 3 of the pups- Sam, Maggie & Cookie! Chris took Gracie to the park so we could sit in the box and Lila loved it! She was telling them that she was their Mama! Too cute!

Nose to Nose! While the pups are growing everyday, they are still smaller than Gracie's head...
